A Brand New Day – Brainstorms

A shorter recording within a much longer walk as I work with rehabbing Beagle Girl. I talk about how some brainstorms come very quickly and others take their sweet time…others don’t happen at all.

A Brand New Day – A Brand New Roof

An earlier morning walk today in which I try and shake off the lethargy. I talk about the new roof that went on yesterday, about goal setting, and the writing strategy for the next six months or so.

A Brand New Day – Back At It

After a much longer than desired break, I return to the walk and talk. There are more than a few pieces of news, I welcome new listeners, and a new Patron and I talk about getting on with the next wave of new habits.

Quick Update

Hello Everyone! First and foremost, I want to welcome anyone new who might have joined in over the past week or so.

My apologies for not checking in with you sooner. The walk and talk hasn’t happened in the better part of a week now. There’ve been issues of health and illness, weather being too hot to walk, and some logistical issues to boot.

The good news is that I should be back at it on Tuesday. I’ll have updates and stories to share so I look forward to talking with you then!

A Brand New Day – New Shoes and New Words

Good morning!  Today I break in new shoes and talk about some writing success, the difference between plotting and pantsing, and how a few pieces fell into place for me yesterday!

A Brand New Day – Back to the Routine

A shorter walk today, in which I recap the weekend, provide a brief writing update and get my head in place to get back to a regular routine

A Brand New Day – The Choice to Compete

I was in a discussion with a friend of mine about the similarities (or lack thereof) between Simone Biles choice to not compete and Kerri Strug’s choice to compete. I share some of my thoughts in the wake of that conversation.

Brand New Day – Mental Health

It’s a longer walk today and I share my thoughts and frankly… a rant about some of the poor reactions I’ve seen to Simone Biles’s choice to withdraw from the Olympics.
