Veronica Giguere Joins the Off The Deep End Multimedia Team

Greetings!

At long last, I am very excited to announce that voice artist and audiobook narrator Veronica Giguere has signed on to provide her voice talents to the Audiobooks published by Off The Deep end Multimedia.

Veronica (she/her) became an audiobook narrator through the strange intersection of higher education, fanfiction, and MMORPGs. Professions of her pre-audiobook years include instructional technologist, university administrator, curriculum designer, and naval architect. A volunteer for PANA (the Professional Audiobook Narrators Association) since 2022, V. believes in the power of education and serves as the director of PANAcademy to make learning opportunities accessible to audiobook narrators at all stages of their careers.

V. is a coauthor of The Secret World Chronicle series, alongside Mercedes Lackey, Dennis Lee, Cody Martin, and Steve Libbey, as well as a contributor to the ECHO One anthology in the same storyverse. On Saturday afternoons, she can be found on the Dead Robots’ Society Writing Podcast live show, chatting craft with authors Paul E. Cooley and Terry Mixon alongside a lot of cats and a delightfully irreverent audience.

During the Fall semester she serves as the assistant coach for her kids’ high school bowling team, and plays momtaxi to the bowling alley for the other ten months. According to her children, she is better than average at finding the best gif to post in the family group text. According to her husband, she is addicted to coffee and crochet. And according to her three cats, she is late to feed them dinner.

Already, Veronica has provided her talents to the Audiobook narration of Cybrosis, currently available at Audible, but with this announcement, comes the news that she has agreed to narrate four more books and an additional novella. I have worked with Veronica on multiple projects, known her for even longer, and am extremely excited for our continued collaboration for the next four novels and beyond.

Weekly Update: June 2-8, 2025

So, coming home from the weekend trip was an interesting study in momentum While I did not finish the edits to the book while out of town, I was able to do so while on the train ride home and I’m very happy that I am preparing to release it to the patrons.

That’s been the biggest bit of accomplishment of the week. I took a couple of days to settle back in at home, catch up on family needs, and get back to work on the day job. Now I turn my attention to administrative matters with announcements, prepping this novel for release, and directing my creativity towards the development of the next project. Full announcements will be forthcoming in the coming days.

Weekly Update: May 26 – June 1, 2025

Wow….

I’m writing this on the evening of June 1, the last night of my mini-vacation/writing retreat. I head home tomorrow and am extremely happy with the results of the trip.

I started this trip about a week behind my planned pace for edits to the next novel I’m preparing. As I sit here now, since I left for this trip, I’ve completed edits for over half the novel, and am now about two weeks ahead of the pace which, for me, is utterly insane.

Not only that, but I ended up spending a bit of time that I had not planned on, sorting out website issues here. What started as an idea to do a minor update to re-fresh the site add a couple of sections and flesh others out, turned into a bit of a crisis when I discovered the entire site was down. So after spending some time with tech support and doing some researching and trying to find components that I had stripped out and now realize I need and want to add back in, I’ve got another administrative project on my hands to work through the updates. If you’re interested to see where things stand, head over there now and check it out, but if certain elements don’t make any sense….I know.

So, what lays ahead?

I still have the return trip which will take about 4-5 hours and will permit me to continue working while I travel. With that in mind, I anticipate further progress on chapter edits, which will be good as day job needs will be a bit higher during this coming week and I may eat into the two week lead I currently have. Even though it’s likely I will complete chapter edits earlier than anticipated, I do not plan to release the novel early as I want to use the added time I’ll be getting to work through the last tidbits of the second Codename Ciris book. On top of that, I still have administrative issues to handle, announcements to make and more, so this buffer I’ve built will be critical in helping to facilitate that as well.

So, that’s it from me for now. I’ll catch you all later!

Weekly Update May 19-25, 2025

Greetings and welcome. This is the first in what is intended to be a weekly update as to my progress.

I am pleased to report good progress. Last week, I began processing my notes from the copy editor on the next -full length novel and am pleased to report that I am well on pace. I’ve also spent some time working through and finalizing plans for some upcoming Re-structuring I am doing of the Patreon tiers. I had hoped to roll those out over the memorial day weekend, but I missed that monk.

There’s one more bit of news that I am actually going to sit on for now as it deserves a bit more attention than a weekly update.

This upcoming week will be a bit different-aside from the shorter west, week. due to the Memorial Day holiday. I’ll also be taling a small trip over the coming weekend. I’m planning to take it as a bit of a writing retreat and I’m hoping to have quite a bit of progress and news to report. Until Then!

Weekly Update – May 12 – 18, 2025

So it’s been a while but it’s high time to get back into these updates. I went into detail in the monthly exclusive post for the $10+ patrons over at www.patreon.com/pcharing But what I can tell you is that there have been quite a few administrative changes and updates. I’ve also been making steady progress on the edits for the next full length novel.

There are also some changes coming to the Patreon itself. It’s too early to fully announce it, but I would anticipate these updates before the end of the month.

I don’t have much else to report. There isn’t much tangible progress in the composition of a new project. I’ve been consumed with consolidating my writing resources, and finishing up the edits to the next novel. Announcements are forthcoming. Just not quite yet.

Until next time

Mid Day Meander: Digging Out

Day 6

The Meander returns after a long weekend and I take a few minutes to update my writing status complete with a detour into a classic rock writing project I did last summer. Track and field training in the background provides some interesting sound effects.

Mid Day Meander: Inner Calm

Day 5

I head back indoors and wax nostalgic about growing up as a child of Lego and how a build I just finished helped me find some inner calm. The recording cuts off abruptly due to a notification that hit my phone, but all you missed was a very long winded goodbye for the day,
